The Family & Consumer Sciences team offers education and acts as a resource to support robust community programs in order to promote healthy and resilient individuals and families as well as thriving communities. Volunteers may help with adult or youth programming, that focus on nutrition education, parenting and family life, community development, and resilience amongst other topics. Programs are delivered at different sites throughout Orange County as well as virtually.

Come glean with us! We meet every Tuesday from June-December at the Chester Agricultural Center to re-box already harvested produce donated by Sun Sprout Farm and Halal Pastures. The re-boxed donations will be delivered to local food pantries, soup kitchens, and community organizations across the Hudson Valley. Sign up for as many Tuesdays as you would like! We have a morning and afternoon shift. Parking information: You can park on the side of the wash/pack house. Look for us outside the wash/pack house on the loading dock and we can always direct you! Important note: Where we pack is completely covered so you'll always be in the shade and protected from the elements (e.g., rain)!
